Hi there and welcome, I’m Sierra, a Travel Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer based out of West Michigan and Western Minnesota. I have been blessed to be photographing families memories for 4 years now. I started taking on weddings three years ago and fell even more in love with my job than I knew was possible. It’s always so funny to me because I was studying Environmental biology to eventually/hopefully study marine life and maybe do freelance work for National Geographic. Taking photos of people was suppose to be practice but it turned into a passion.

I am awful at writing bios about myself so don’t judge me (it’s almost as bad as my public speaking). But I am 27 years young and live in the Grand Rapids area. I’m an Ennegram 8, so please don’t hate that about me, I am who I am, okkuur?

I have a healthy obsession with Harry Potter, I am happy to say I only rewatched it about 9 times last year. I am a sucker for a road trip wether it be a short one to one of Michigans beaches or a long one to the west coast (which i’ve done twice), I never stay in Michigan for long during my off season. I currently travel to Minnesota every few months to visit my boyfriend so I have started taking on sessions and weddings for spring/summer 2023 in that area, which being in a new area is so exciting to me! I also have little farm in my home, I say that because I have 4 pets. It’s safe to say I love animals. I have 2 dogs; Sophie and Koda, A bunny; Olive, and a lovely cat; Salem. My favorite flowers are peonies and I hate coffee, but will always love a good cup of tea! You probably didn't NEED to know that last fact but it seemed fitting.

I love getting to know people and what drives them! Honestly, I probably just wanna be friends after your session… if that’s okay. I love getting to know people/couples passions and what makes them unique. I always want that to show in my work, as I never want my couples to look at their albums and feel its the same as everyone else’s. You, your love and your moments ARE unique. I can’t wait to get to know you more and chat it up!

You don’t need an occasion to capture your life

Now I always will love weddings, engagements or a valentines day boudoir session! Those are HUGE occasions that have so much emotion and passion, I will never be able to describe those moments other than letting the photos speak for themselves. BUT I will say some of the best sessions I have been lucky enough to be apart of, are those spur of the moment boudoir sessions because the client needed a confidence boost or a couple just wanted some intimate photos JUST BECAUSE. Not all sessions NEED to be booked because its a special occasion! You deserve to treat yourself, your family or significant other to some photos that will last a lifetime.
